Rubber
Just finished washing the Roc
The rubber around my side windows and the door windows looks terrible both sides.
The only way to discribe it is "weathered look" I have tried a couple of rubber cleaners and looks ok but not great.
Anyone else have this issue or can recommend a good rubber cleaner? I saw another Roc at a dealers the other day that had the same issue.

Re: Rubber
We treat all of the rubber sills and plastic trims with Valet Pro Protectant... it restores the colour and gets rid of the faded appearance and also leaves behind a protective barrier that helps to keep them looking fresh for longer. It leaves a satin sort of natural look, rather than a deep glossy finish, however, if you did want something a bit more shiny Swissvax Seal Feed would be an excellent choice.
Hope this helps

Re: Rubber
Tried a few things but the rubber is still looking shabby and "blotchy"
Any clues where I can get this Valet Pro Protectant in a normal size (ie not valet company size) Cheers :-)

Re: Rubber
Einzett Gummifledge is good stuff for door seals, not sure where to get it from though but google will be the answer.
On the exterior rubber around the windows I use Dodo Juice Lime Prime.

Is very good, Ben looks to be out of stock at the moment though, no sure if there are any other sellers of MarkV in the UK.

Re: Rubber
Does that leave them really glossy? I have a bottle of it but don't really use it now.Andy-GTI wrote:Chemical guys new look trim gel is superb. Use it on my rubbers, made them better than new.

Re: Rubber
well i've just been having a look online & someone recommended carefully applying brake fluid to rejuvenate sun hardened seals definitely not for the feint hearted though.

Try a little white spirits on a soft very slightly damp cloth.

Re: Rubber
I bought some of this stuff recently and it works very well.
Turtle Wax Black Flash Trim Wax My Roc developed squeaky door seals every time the windows dropped due to the rubber hardening.
Anyway I went to Halfords looking for other products I'd read about on here and net but could only find this stuff so I thought I'd give it a go.
The result is no more squeaks and the rubber seals look good as new. Is definitely not a wet look which suits me.
According to the bottle it contains an advanced combination of silicones but all I know is that it gives better results and is much easier to apply than the Autoglym vinyl and rubber care spray that came included in my Autoglym kit.
