Winter Pack

Post by callum2009 »

What do you actually get with the winter pack?

I never specced it on my car but I have the heated seats but I dont have the headlight washers, I don't know if I have heated jet washers or not, how can you tell?

Thanks

if you have leather on your order you automatically get heated seats as standard (would you really want to sit on cold leather in winter?!) this is why there are about 3 or 4 different prices for the winter pack depending on what other options you have..
- price for winter pack with cloth seats - one price for winter pack
- leather gives you heated seats as standard therefore - different (cheaper) price for winter pack
- xenons gives you headlamp washers as standard (required by law? on xenon headlights) - another different (cheaper) price for winter pack
- speccing leather & xenons - completely different (cheaper) price for winter pack.

so in answer to your question the winter pack gives you heated front seats, headlamp washers & heated washer jets, washer fluid warning light. You have leather therefore yes you have heated seats but no you do not have heated headlamp washers or washer fluid warning light, sorry.

hope that covers it for you

I was tempted to spec, tbh glad i didn't in the end, because the only thing i really wanted on there was the heated seats, n i've specced the eather so good times :)
My car is now for sale, for just £16,000, fair price so please no silly offers :)

That's what the brochure in my country (europe) says. Thought I read the xenons also included the heated headlamp washers, but can't find it anymore. If so, then what do you get in the UK when you already have the leather and the xenons and you buy the winter pack...nothing? rip off?

looking on the UK configurator xenons does not give you the washer fluid warning light, sorry Scott.

Crossbone
in the uk if you have specced xenons & leather already the winter pack gives you the heated headlamp washer nozzels and the washer fluid warning light, & you do pay a reduced price for the winter pack compared to if you has not specced leather & xenons (see my post above)

In Germany, with the xenons you get

Bi-Xenon-Scheinwerfer für Abblend- und Fernlicht
Leuchtweitenregulierung dynamisch, mit statischem Kurvenfahrlicht
Scheinwerferreinigungsanlage
Warnleuchte für Waschwasserstand

which means bi-xenon lights, dynamic static light, headlight washers and warning light for washer fluid.

Ticking both the xenons and leather you get a very cheap winter pack(50euros) which gives you the heated headlamp water

Someone in the UK who has the xenons but no winter pack should tell us if his/her car has the washer fluid warning light :)) to see if there's an omission in the UK catalog or they're removing this (stupid) feature on purpose.

PS:hey trix! I ordered mine on the 25th of June but stil no production week :( Hope to get it like you till end of October

thanks for the info on what you get in germany crossbone, its interesting to see the differences between countries. highly likely that the UK site is wrong but then the winter pack when leather & xenons are already specced is £205 which is ALOT for just heated nozzels (is alot for heated nozzels & a warning light too imo)

go give your dealer hell regarding your production week, like i've said to a few people they may not be telling you to save your anguish as the production week bounces around so go ask!

I have Xenons but NOT Winter Pack.
I am not aware of having a low washer fluid warning light - but this is based on what I've read, the UK brochures, the UK configurator, etc. I haven't yet run out of washer fluid to give a definitive answer. As soon as I do, I'll let you know.

Having said all that, this does seem to be a quirky car! For example, the whole 'dipping mirror when you reverse' story, which some have and some don't, despite what the user manual says.

Hello

I have xenons and not the winterpack and confirm that I have a low washer fluid warning light that comes on when it nearly empty, it also advises this in the MFD at the same time

thanks IROC-CH

I do however notice that you're from Switzerland so maybe this is the case on the continent (like crossbone has shown in Germany) but we're trying to work out if its the same in the UK seeing as they like to be abit different in what they offer us compared to everyone else.

.....also slightly off topic, but I have another quirky one. I dont have DRLs activated but when I exceed ~100mph the headlights automatically come on when the lights are on the Auto selection. They remain on until the car stops moving. Not heard of anyone else with this. Perhaps they haven't been on a private track yet
