OPS - Car View Change

Post by Pierre Luigi »

Hey Guys, first serious post after being a long time lurker.

I've had my Scirocco since January, and my OPS screen has always just shown the rear of the car - until today !

When I got in this morning and stuck the car in reverse I was treated to the top down view of the car and it has been like that all day with the car having been off numerous times.

Now, I'm not complaining as I actually prefer this view - but has anyone else had this happen ?

Cheers !
Pete

has it been in to vw for service of warrant work? sometimes they upgrade the cars OS/firmware.
very strange though! mine still shows only the rear....
normally that view is only for cars with front & rear parking sensors... which is odd for the rocs as its only possible to spec rear sensors.
hmmm...

Ha Ha - why do people always notice the temp gauges ?!

It was pretty cold where I am yesterday morning and put them on for a quick boost ! Honest Officer.

Sad to report my OPS view has today returned to the default. Shame, the alternative was better looking...

ooo thats sad..It really looks much better seeing the whole car in plan view..

the computer must have had mixed thoughts or smthng..

I am gonna ask the VW service if that option is included in a firmware update!!

Seems odd that they bothered to do the graphic for the whole car when parking sensors are only available for the rear ?

Maybe front ones will be available in future

My car has just done the same thing. All working fine when I parked the car this evening - then, 2 hours later, I get the whole car instead of just the rear. Strange thing though, I see a whole car graphic, but the yellow/red proximity bars still show in the same place (which happens to be the side of the car on the graphic)...

Anyone else got a schizo OPS??

Not a lot of use that either way lawman. Perhaps it will flip back in a few days.
I get the feeling from things like this and odd little quirks in my own Roc that perehaps all this auto-technology is getting a bit too clever for its own good :(

It's back to 'normal'.
It does make you wonder what's going on behind the surface.
