People are saying 3-4 weeks. I'd think in terms of 4 weeks so you're not too disappointed.

Mine's 4 weeks from build week, but I suspect the car has been sitting a week waiting on the salesman coming back from holiday.

If you allow 4 weeks, anything sooner is a bonus - will all depend on shipping schedules, I think some people have had the car within a couple of weeks of the build date as they managed to catch the shipping schedule right.

it should be 2-4 weeks from production to dealer.

my dealer updates me on a weekly basis, if he doesn't he gets a little nagging email reminding him to, it doesn't push it along but at least i am up to date & i am keeping all the emails on file. i have now taken to logging it in my signature to see the progress.

hi.

just ordered mine 2 days ago. Was told an estimated delivery date of 7th decemeber. Is it worthwhile getting regular updates from dealer, i'm presuming they dont have a say in build date, etc.

like 100 days, heavy gutted :(, anyone fancy smacking me with a baseball bat to put me in a coma for like 15weeks?
build week 46!

now don't go & do that alo6!! we're hear to satisfy the scirocco cravings!!

it can be handy to have a good dialogue going with your dealer while you're waiting then if you have problems you should be able to lean on them abit more than if you had only spoken to them on order placement.

I've ordered my back in July and my building date is 15/10/2009.
Here in Portugal the wait time always greater than 3 month... Usually it takes about 4-5 months to get the car.

I ordered mine on June 9th from a leasing company. They originally estimated October 9th and are still estimating that - I really hope it makes it on time as it feels like I've been waiting forever! My leasing company also sends me weekly e-mail updates but it only has a status, which is 'confirmed build' but they can't tell me when that confirmed build date is. If it's not built in the next week or so though I guess the 9th October is not going to happen

hi mrp Welcome!!

i'm sure it will be built in the next few weeks, have faith! ask them straight out what build week its scheduled for! if they can't say try & get your commission number out of them (should be 6 digits) & ring vw customer service who should be able to tell you.

mine is currently unconfirmed build week 41 (1st week of oct) (order date in signature)

Thanks! I tried asking and they said they didn't know (or were too lazy to find out!). I'll check my paperwork for that reference number and see what they say - thanks for the advice

Ordered in June, with the dealer allocation all used up. Finaly it has now been ordered with VW with it being built in Oct with a delivery date of mid Nov!!

I ordered mine through Listers Nuneaton, and the service, support and comunication is first rate.

The only thing that is left to be decided is weather to go for a Revo stage one or the Niche conversion that was in last weeks Auto Express!!? :?
