Artists search

Post by iAmbu »

Hi all

I have the RCD-510 (getting the RNS-510 fitted tomorrow)... When browsing my iPod via the MEDIA-IN, you can obviously search by Artist. But as I have about 1500 songs (and therefore multiple artists), it can be very time consuming to scroll down the list starting at A, when I want M for instance. Other than holding down the slider on the right and dragging it down to get to the middle of the alphabet or a specific letter (which isn't very accurate), is there a quicker way??

Thanks.

Yes playlists are the way to go.
All that scrolling and guessing which letter you are on in the alphabetical list is a real pain.
You should try it with 53gb of music though. That's over 7000 songs (27 days worth).
I do tend to leave it on shuffle/mix most of the time. With so much music I'm regularly treated to tracks I'd forgotten all about or didn't even know I had.

I have seen someone on here who's got his organised into e.g. Rock>A-C>Bandname>album etc so you've only got 2 or 3 letters to look through...
17th October - Now it's finally mine :) :) :)
