Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Going down to place my order on Friday, currently going for...
DSG, Shadow Blue, Black Leather, DAB, Folding mirrors, Tyre pressure indc, parking sensors - £24,815 (vw website)
Still considering the sunroof and not 100% commited to leather yet. Wouldn't use the sat nav and cruise and not really sure of the need for Xeons (especially at an extra £800.) Perhaps if the sunroof or leather is out Xeons will be in...

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
I got it too, the front badge and rear VW stay, its just the model that is removed.
I'm not 100% on this but when they say model I think they mean just the 2.0TFSI NOT the Scirocco, I'm not fussed either way but I saw the back of one and the Scirocco was still there but the engine det had been removed, I would confirm with a dealer though.

If I get more than the VW badge on the back, I'm getting the kettle/hairdyer out

So how does that work then? Any risk of damaging the paint? - Sorry but I'm not that good with cars as I am with computers.morrissey wrote:If I get more than the VW badge on the back, I'm getting the kettle/hairdyer out

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
I've done it to 3 Audis, normally with a kettle of boiling water.
The badges are stuck on with a very sticky double sided pad.
You heat up the badge and the pad (hairdryer or boiling water) and the glue becomes loose.
Then you have to carefully wiggle the badge until it comes off.
Finally a strong solvent such as tar remover normally gets the residual glue off.

scirocco and engine get deleted, vw badges remain, i've kept em this time, dont know why, audi you had have to delete em separately

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Cool at least now I know if I ever have to lol.
The back for me in Black with just a VW badge will look awesome, although I'm not 100% on the rear lights, I hope HELLA comes out with LED lights as they have done for the Golf, Ideally I would want them smoked to go with the Black paint.
