Anyone got any ideas of the best way to sell my current car? It's a 57 Grande Punto Sporting. I don't want to advertise in autotrader because you get hassled by people trying to get you to give them money to match you up with a buyer, ebay seems very expensive too.
The websites like webuyanycar.com have given reasonable quotes, but I'm wondering about just putting an advert in the window. Anyone done this recently?

well autotrader is probably the best IMO, thats where mine is, because that is where people who want to buy a car are looking, they use telesafe, where basically the number they put on the advert won't be your number it is just a random mobile number the diverts to yours, for how ever long you have the advert up. If you get hassled you tell them and they ban that number immeadiately
You can always try putting that same number on the advert on a for sale sign on your car will cost you pennys and will also stop random people having your number.
those websites will generally give you a pretty crappy price

My car is now for sale, for just £16,000, fair price so please no silly offers

Re: Selling current car
Pistonheads, I sold my Scirocco there after having it up for 2 weeks and I got exactly what I wanted for it. I've also sold and R32 and a Merc 55 AMG on there and these are the types of car that get window shoppers and tyre kickers. I guess its because it is a sight run by petrol heads which helps.
