Yep, no extra wait from them here ( the Netherlands).
Just 2 weeks extra for the Pano. roof. Otherwise the buid week would be week 50.
So they told me....

Ah ok, nice.
Will be really interesting to see what Sumatra looks like in the flesh.
They've stopped taking orders for Xenons here, I wonder what the delay is actually about.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
I asked several dealers about the delay in the xenon's.
they didnot hear about it over here. So i hope it wil will be o.k.
Maybe the delay has to do with different parts cause we drive on the right side of the road ???
The colour choice was the hardest for me .... The car is only to see at the dealers right now. And the colours they have on display are candy white and rising blue. So i ordered from pictures i have seen of this colour.
After 2 months i will know !

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
OMG this car is stunning! Well worth the wait which ive already forgotten about! Its much faster than my old mk4 golf gti and sounds lush. Im really impressed with the amount of kit you get on just the basic model. I didnt get any optional extras although im wishing i'd got parking sensors , just having to be really careful The pewter grey colour is even nicer in real life, the pics dont do it justice. Ive had blokes pointing and waving all weekend- its like being a celebrity

My build week 44 car is now on ship. Hoping for delivery next week, though that may be a bit ambitious.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Still waiting on an update for my order.
Don't have a confirmed build date yet, just schedueled for WK48 although i have heard from VW UK in Milton Keynes that nobody will take delivery in the UK of a Xenon equipped car until the new year.
My local dealer has had one of there customer cars put back to WK5 09 from W48 08, i am just waiting to hear whether this is also the case with mine.
Just out of interest, for those of you who have taken delivery how long before the actual build week did the status change from schedueled to confirmed?? I am really interested to find out as we are now in WK46 and i would expect if the car was going to be built in WK48 my build status would have changed to confirmed by now.
I think the fact that it hasn't already is an indication that a further delay is imminent.
Thanks.....

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Yep, anyone after Xenons is mullered at the moment. They've even removed it from the web site configurator and there's no confirmed date for deliveries on those cars. My dealer told me 2 weeks ago that they were not accepting xenons on orders at all. If you don't really need it, you could possibly get the car in a matter of weeks if there's a pre-built one that fits your spec.jonallen628 wrote:i have heard from VW UK in Milton Keynes that nobody will take delivery in the UK of a Xenon equipped car until the new year.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
I was quoted £299 by the dealer. Found a local firm that fits the same ones for £195. {This firm used to fit them for the dealer until they got the fitters trained}.debdeb wrote:Any ideas what sort of cost they are fitted?robrob wrote:Why don't you retro fit them?debdeb wrote: im wishing i'd got parking sensors
