All sorted now. Car has had new mechatronics unit! On warranty of course. Dealer said they had had 200 other DSG's with a similar problem, so watch out folks!

I had the dreaded "Six Gear Shuffle" last night. Going along the A14 doing 75, popped it into 5th to get past someone and hey presto, no power, car revs to 4k on its own, all the gear lights flash, foot pedal light flashes. It then slips into gear and then 10 seconds later, does it again!!!

I've only done 3000 miles!! Party on!!

I had a new temperature sensor, they were on back order so a lot of people must be having them changed. 2 months later and it is doing it again. I'm taking it back in tomorrow.

I now need a new mechatronics. 21 days before the part will be with the dealer. I am supposed to be going on holiday in the car next week and VW are being most unhelpful.

Just out of interest

Has anyone had this kind of problem on a DSG7 ? or is it just the 6 speed that's effected ?

Temperature and speed sensor fitted, oh and cruise control.

We shall see if it's fixed the issue. I've got a 450 mile round trip (ouch on fuel) planned for Thursday, so watch this space.
