19" alloys as on the VW show car!

Post by beechy »

Hi all

Been hunting high and low for a set of those 19" alloy wheels as seen on the show car. Drove through the local VW garage today and noticed them on the Phaeton there, they look absolutly awsome. Should have looked closer to home really but would never have thought they would have been on the brochure price list for the phaeton.

If anyone has a full set they want to sell, let me know!!!

They also informed me my car is due to be built next week, I`ve increased the spec too, only after mod will be the alloys so if someone wants a brand new set of 18" interlagois wheels with a brand new set of dunlops sport tyres let me know maybe we could come to some arrangment.

Spec now:

Pearlescent black
Black leather
Dyno audio
Panoramic sunroof
Tyre pressure indicator
Bluetooth telephone
Premium mats
premium door sills
Autoglym

Phaeton helios rims, not too hard to get hold of really, come in at about just over £300 a rim from VW i think, plus the tyres of course.

OK rims, but really worth the money. better rims out there for the same or less. . . .

Got my eye on some 9.5x19's myself

The wheels look good but I had 19" on my last car and it wasn't the most comfortable to ride in and it didn't have suspension like the scirocco but each to their own but they do look good

Hi all

Would be good to see some replicas, I think vw have the wheels plus tyres up for £2000, quite a hefty price i think. But they look awsome on the scirroco. Would be good to see some other wheels on the scirroco though, as i`ve started seing alot of passats with the 18" lagos wheels floating about.

Car is being built next week they said i would have it mid december beginning of Jan. Was advised I would have it 1st week in November, if i`m getting it january i have told them to store ot until the new 09 plate in March. The dates fluctuated by 3 months but have had it confirmed it will be built next week.

The bluetooth i saw on a passat, was thinking of the parrot system but the vw system is all built in, mics built into the roof, very discreet, plus steering wheel control, justtakendelivery of the samsung omnia that works with it too, it has remote sim access so unlike the apple iphone works. the apple iphone works with the audi cars but not with this system, theres previous threads on this with links to which phones work.

Also the dealer tried selling me a brand new R32 for a rock bottom price instead of wating for my scirroco, anyone driven one? I think i may be throwing alot of money away if i did that as the new golf comes out inthe new year? They have given me a choice of colours.

hi

the phone to begin with is complicated because it is packed with stuff. works on windows s/w which means i don`t need to carry my phone and a pda around at work, its all on this. Similar to the apple iphone but with better software and better functions. it has a bluetooth option for the music too, as i`ve the bluetooth option i think i maybe able to auto set up my phone for music and telephone without even connecting it up, all new to me really but will let you know, the phone is very advanced just don`t have the time at the moment to run through everything.
