Hi All,
A recent adjustment to the pressure in my tyres resulted in the TSPM light turning on. As I have done numerous times, I attempted to reset the vehicle using the button in the glove box, but when I pressed the button it made a cracking sound and felt differently than usual. I now have the warning light permanently illuminated due to the fact that the button no longer works. Im now a bit worried in case i lose pressure while driving and dont realise.
A quick search shows the button is cheap to purchase (assuming this is the issue), however i cant find a single mention anywhere on the internet on how to remove/replace this button. If its a quick job I was going to attempt myself, or il accept defeat and take it into the garage.
Has anyone ever done this or had a similar issue?
Thanks
Ben

Re: Tpms button replacement
UPDATE:
I finally got around to replacing the button.
I had to remove the glove box. There are plenty of videos online to guide you. I removed the six visible screws around the glove box, the hidden one under the central section beneath the temperature controls, and also removed the door side panel. Once I did this, I slid the whole thing out and found the button had fallen apart. I quickly swapped it with a £6 eBay button from China, and it worked perfectly! The trickiest part was getting the glove box back in place.
Unfortunately, I did this because the Scirocco is ready to sell and will be going this week.
It’s time for something bigger, and my new Cupra is being delivered tomorrow.
