Xenon headlight and water!

New to me Scirocco (2010). In recent floods went through a big puddle and found out one of the caps behind the headlamp was missing meaning several litres! of water went into the Xenon dipped beam on driver's side. Unsirpringly has stopped working (though rest of lights are fine)

Local independent garage has drained and cleared codes but said need to replace whole headlamp unit and the Xenon controller (and they aren;t availble new anyway) - so need to look at Ebay.

My parts are:
Headlamp 1k8941754g
Controller 4L0907391

Are these interchangable with other Xenon lights of similar year cars? (e.g. 1k8941032e) or do I need to find these specific versions
