MAF Sensor ?

Post by L4rgie76 »

Hi,

Looking for some help, I have 2009 2.0 TDI Scirocco, I had recently encountered a fault in which in gears 4 to 6 when accelerating or hard acceleration especially a slight incline or hill, the glow plug light comes on and the engine goes into limp mode, if I turn the engine off and back on it resets and drives normally until hills or heavy acceleration.

Slight fuel consumption decrease but not all the time, car doesn't drive or idles rough, I suspected it was the MAF so changed that over slight improvement but still faults out.

Its taking the fun out of the car, anything else I could try, the engine management light used to come on but now I cleared it, it hasn't come back on but still faults.

Any help would be appreciated.

P0299 usually points towards a vacuum leak. Check for and splits / holes in the vacuum pipes.
