Hello all
Car 2009 1.4 tsi 160
I’ve had 2 chain tensioners fail in 4 months, once stripped it was found the spring had broke in the tensioner. it appears the oil passage behind the tensioner is blocked(no air is a passing through when an air line is put on) does anyone know where the passage leads to or is there a one way valve stopping oil from returning back?
Also there is score marks in the oil pump housing, oil pressures have been taken and they seem ok at low rpm but low at high rpm
I’m stuck to what I should do next
Anything would be appreciated.

Re: Second Chain tensioner failure and oil flow issue
Hello - did you ever find a resolution to this? In a comparable situation where a tensioner appears to be failing after just 7.5k miles...
