Hi I’m looking for a 2016 scirocco 2.0 tsi (facelift) oil sump tray as mines heavily corroded can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Your local mechanic shop.
Or a VW dealer with workshop.
Or a breakers yard.
Ebay.
But not here.

I’m sure the guy was just asking for help in finding one.
Forget scrap yards, chances are if yours is corroded they won’t be far off it too.
EBay can be a good option as you can get a new one both genuine and aftermarket (I got an aftermarket one for a mk6 golf which seemed ok but aftermarket can be a gamble quality / fitment wise)
Local motor factors (GSF / ECP) can be another option but again it’s the aftermarket gamble again.
Maindealer - don’t rule this out… many parts are far better priced than you’d expect, I found many parts for a M240i cheaper new from BMW than used online.
If you know anyone in the trade try TPS they supply genuine prts to the trade.
If doing the job yourself don’t forget the sealant!
