ABS / EPC warning on dash

Post by Fa4 »

Hi guys, only had my scirocco for nearly a year now so still new to the car.

I was wondering if you could help. I hadn’t used my car for a couple of days and whilst driving down the dual carriage way the EPC warning came on the dash.

I pulled over, turned the engine off back on pulled away, the light went off then came back on a couple minutes later.

Would really appreciate any insight you might have on this issue. Cautious about going to the garage straight away as I believe it could be the sensor and don’t want them to rip me off trying to say it’s something more expensive.
Thanks!

It could be anything from a simple wheel speed sensor to the ABS Controller. You need to scan the car to see what the fault code is. Just be aware that some of the cheaper code readers cannot read or reset codes on the ABS Controller.
