Good afternoon all,
just got a few little questions regarding me installing cruise.
Do I need to to buy just the stalk or do I need to buy a need slip ring? my initial thought was that I could just install the stalk an have cruise setup up using my friend ODIS machine. However after looking at some kits they include the slip ring, any suggestions or reasons why they are included?
if not could anyone be a help and find me a part number for the stalk!!

On the earlier cars you could just retrofit the left stalk and do a bit of coding, however on later cars like yours, I believe the assembly includes both stalks and the slip ring therefore is slightly more complex and expensive.

I recently did this on my 2013 model which like yours required both parts.
I used these part numbers 5K0953502M & 5K0953569AL
I purchased them from http://vwgolfr32.co.uk/shop/Retrofit-Cruise-Control.htm who extremely helpful. He even gave me a coding guide but the guide UKLee has done is spot on.
The hardest bit was the airbag removal. One e I figured the technique out it literally took 30 mins start to finish.

Thread bump! Does anyone know if the face-lift Sciroccos, can have their combined stalk unit replaced with a set from an older car, circa 2011?
I've found a set of cruise, wiper stalks and slip ring from a 2011 car and was wondering if it will work on my 2017 Scirocco.

Autoscan attached with cruise/indicator combi stalk added. Weird faults occur and I give up. I have tried 2 identical stalks. Only way to clear the fault is to fit original (non-cruise) stalk.
But I want to forget the stalk idea, instead go for cruise on the MFSW. This is my current wheel:

My car supports MFSW coding in address 09 & 17, but in address 01 there is only options for "cruise installed via turn signal lever" or "cruise installed via separate lever".
Is that a problem?

I was talking rubbish before about controller 01, 09, 17...
So I have fitted MFSW with cruise buttons from Polo Blue GT (MQB). Enabled MFSW in address 16 and coding accepted. But still cruise buttons don't work. No error codes, and no errors on instrument cluster.
Is it time for spacewalker module?
