Hi all.
Just going through my newly acquired 2.0 TSI and service history seems a little scant. In its life I have a report showing the following:
02/10/09
10,114 miles
Time & Distance service
30/09/2010
18,684 miles
Inspection service
(+1 year / +8570 miles)
29/05/2014
53,681 miles
Used car MPC check and Brake Fluid change
(+3.5 years / +34,997 miles)
28/07/2020
95,942 miles
PDI Service (oil filter [no mention of oil] and plugs)
(+6 years / +42,261 miles)
Obviously there are some pretty big numbers in there, between logged services anyway. What’s the standard on these engines? 12 months oil with every 3 years a bigger service?
Needless to say I’m going to book her in for something soon so if anybody can recommend a good and trusted Indy in SE London or Kent, do please let me know.
Servicing schedule?

Re: Servicing schedule?
No as it's supposed to last the life of the engine, however some early EA888 engines have suffered chain tensioner failure. Over the years the tensioner has been updated several times and normally as a precaution most owners replace it with the latest part for peace of mind. Some take the opportunity to replace the chains at the same time as they can stretch.Inkey$ wrote:Thanks.
