How to change the digital speedometer from kmh to mph?

Hi all. Been playing with this all morning and I can't find out gow to change it anywhere. Could use some help, cheers.

I don't think you can. I've been trying to go the other way. My odo is in km/h and the speed is showing as miles. When you activate the "Alt Speed Display" in settings, it alternates between the main units you have selected. So, if your main units are in miles, the alt is in kmh.

Not sure if you can change this with some coding but if you find out, I'd love to know.

You need to first change the country designation using VCDS or Carista. I changed mine to Australia. Then you can change it to MPH on the MFD

Unless I'm missing something, looks like you can't have main units set to litres and km/h with the alt speed display also in km/h.

I was told that in the UK it’s a legal requirement that if the main speedo is in MPH that the digital display has to be in KPH. How true this is I don’t know but it seems to fit considering how difficult it is to change.

Kinda suck. I would have really liked to set it in mph, its so much easier to read the digital one

By law you have to have mph and kph on display. Most cars have mph on the speedo and also kph in little letters on an inner ring. Scirocco has mph on the speedo but no kph. They meet the law by having kph on the digital.

In other countries Scirocco has kph on the speedo and mph on the digital.

So convince the car you are in a kph country and the digital will be in mph. I set mine to ROW (rest of world) using vcds. Simple.
