Fault codes help!

Post by ryanv114R »

Hi guys, so after a few months of my Scorocco being idle(due to me being abroad then having to change the clutch), it's back on the road. However I have two error codes P0123, P2100, and the glow plug light flashing. I know you need VCDS to pinpoint the exact problem, however I thought I'd ask here first in case someone had it before.

With rona it's harder to get access to VCDS, and I'm quite handy with a wrench, so I'm open to suggestions. I was thinking of taking off the throttle body and cleaning that, maybe it's a bit stuck or something due to not being used in a while.

Check the connections to the throttle pedal and the throttle body. To be honest VCDS won't tell you any more information. Based on those codes, the issue is somewhere in the fly by wire throttle control circuit.

Thanks, will remove the connectors, clean them and re-install. So do you think it's an electrical issue rather than mechanical? Or is it impossible to say just by looking at the codes?
