Amber ESP and Steering warning lights

Post by paud100 »

Hi all,

I got an amber steering and ESP light come on this morning when turning right into a parking lot. I had car with the dealers last Saturday and got timing belt, tyres, ball joint and drop links done. Any ideas what could have caused this? I really hope its not something major as I dropped enough money with them last weekend!!

You need to get it scanned to confirm what the issue is but my guess is the steering angle sensor. It"s either faulty, a bad connection or lost calibration due to low voltage.

Thanks Cuprabob. I did a bit of googling and I did a full left turn of steering a full right and fault lights disappeared. Drove home from work and they are still off. Hopefully it was a once off but I doubt it!!
