ABS ESP Fault
hey guys i got a fault code 01276 and 01130 and now on my dashboard i have a flashing red light thats is my handbreak symbol and 2 yellow lights showing abs and esp and i has a look on the website and it looks like its a common problem. i also saw that cars that was made in 2009 have a recall for the abs dont know if anyone here had a similar problem. ive looked for the part number of my abs module control and its 1k0907379an. does anyone know its latest revision and how hard is it to replace it? any advice will be welcome

Re: ABS ESP Fault
Type your reg on the Gov website for MOT & tax.
it will tell you if your car is due a recall. if it is, then let VW sort it out

i dont leave in the UK so i dont think it will work im my case... i called my dealer and told them about it and they told me my car is not in the recall program so i guess im about to spend a lot of money... will like to know if anyone bought from ebay an ABS module control and pump and done the repair. or what part number should i be looking for a revised version of 1k0907379AN?
Re: ABS ESP Fault
I think the recall fix is a software update.
You can check the part number on your current abs unit.
Not sure if id buy one from Ebay. brakes arent really something you want to mess about with. Do you have an OEM reseller in your country.
We have Euro car parts & TPS which sell OEM parts usually at a discounted price

Re: ABS ESP Fault
well i took my car to the dealers last Thursday. the car is still in the garage. first day they told me they are gonna keep it as they where waiting for an answer from Germany. second day they told me that on Monday they are gonna update the firmware. fingers cross as ive heard that replacing the ecu will cost 2500 euro!! im looking for some alternative solution in case the firmware wont work. im not willing to spent that much of money. i found some web pages that claim that the can fix the ECU somewhere around 300 euro. any other suggestion are welcomeParadox1 wrote:I think the recall fix is a software update.

Re: ABS ESP Fault
so i got a phone call from the dealers... they told me that the got bad news and very bad news... they told me that they found 2 faults on the diagnostic, 1 is the ECU ABS and the other is the ABS Pump. they gave 2 choices... 1 spend 1100 euro plus labor to replace only the ECU and hope the pump will be fine... and 2 replace the complete ABS unit ( ECU + PUMP ) for 2900 euro plus labor... makes you question if the engine needs a replacement how much will they charge? like honestly this is ridiculous spending 3K just for the ABS. i was really hoping my car would be in the recall program as its a 2009 model but no... they said its not in the recall program. and honestly i dont get why my car is not in when i saw that the cars that are affected are from 2008-2010. anyway im really thinking of buying a recondition one as its way more cheaper. any other suggestions are welcome

Re: ABS ESP Fault
Just buy second hand pump with control modul from the same modelyear and engine and you are good to go.
Dealer proposal is just ridiculous.
There are enough video’s on YouTube how to replace it.

Re: ABS ESP Fault
Yes just copy old coding and then swap and get rid of fault codes and then change coding if needed.
