Okay, here are few updates;

I started to work on the Quattro project...

Preparing for the AWD.

Open the second hole for the tank.

Covering the welding.

Close to finish.

Image

Image

Haldex installed and coded [emoji1360]

Image

Image

Then as all projects you should have a problem that complicate it [emoji116] [emoji57]

ABS error;

Image

I checked similar project who had the same issue, but he changed the cluster from Scirocco and replaced by Golf R one.
Here is his comment[emoji116]
“However, the conversation gradually drew the attention to the fact that the ABS control device is so "crooked" that it listens the vehicle model / type code sent from the CAN bus to the instrument panel and does not encode the conflicting type code itself. That is, when the instrument panel claims a car to Scirocco, the ABS control device does not allow it to encode itself to Golf. And Scirocco can't be a four-wheel drive. On the instrument panel, that type is "hard-coded", but it cannot be changed by VCDS.”

I believe if the Scirocco instrument cluster changed from FWD to AWD then the ABS fault will disappear. I don’t know how yet but hopefully will figure it out, all support are more than welcome :)

Stay tuned, more is coming [emoji6]

There are two problems to swap the cluster; first one that I don’t have the Golf R one, second that I have the new Scirocco 3D cluster and I want to install it very soon once I finish the swap

Here are pics of the new 3D Scirocco cluster

That’s why I need to find a way to fix the ABS fault while having the new Scirocco 3D cluster installed :(

Wow! Do you have taken picture of the 4motion installation? The rear powertrain and haldex....

For the ABS problem, perhaps is possible to recode the cluster with some advanced tacho programmer tool....you need a very skilled VW expert!

Mission accomplished!

Just few modifications in the suspension and bushing then I can drive it. Unfortunately, it will be with the K04 turbo instead of the BT for the time being but at least a serious step is achieved.

Stay tuned, more is coming [emoji6]

The cluster has to be patched to change from Scirocco to Golf with a golf chassis VIN too then the ABS coded.
I believe that the problem coming from the cluster because it sends the signal that it’s a Scirocco and the ABS can’t accept the AWD that coming from the Scirocco because there is no AWD Scirocco. Once it’s changed to Golf the ABS accepted the coding.

I want to try if changing the cluster itself from FWD to AWD would help and fix it not. I had similar issue with my MKV when I was trying to install a cluster moved out from R32 to my MKV GTI. The ABS didn’t accept coding until I changed the cluster from AWD to FWD.

You can find it in ELSAWIN. My mechanic use it to do all wiring installations.

What’s is the best coilovers used for Rocco?
Most probably I will change my VWR coilovers because they are very bad and noisy while I drove them for few KMs!

I found the below coilovers on USP:

The car becomes completely different and I like it more now, specially the handling and there is no slip at all. I don’t know how it will behave with BT but I believe it will behave better than the FWD :)

Question
I want to install the MIB II Discover Media (Radio) to Tiguan and Sirocco too. I am afraid of the Component Protection (CP) issue.
I heard that it can be removed from the Odis or maybe by another SW coding way.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks
