headlight auto level

Post by paddyz1 »

Where is the level control sensor coming from for the bi Zenon headlights? Is it built into the headlights or does it come from a sensor somewhere else on the car?

There are 2 sensors, one on the front nearside suspension arm and one on the rear nearside suspension arm.

You can get the part numbers from the following link http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/ca ... 972/lang/e" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The datum is set using VCDS and the headlights adjust up and down based on the relative values from each sensor. If the rear sensor is lower than the front the headlights adjust downwards and vice versa.

Normally it's the linkage on one of the sensors that breaks.

Hi,
I am missing one of these sensors for a 2012 and want to be sure the part I buy from the front is correct. It's completely missing and my dashboard is like a Christmas tree :mad: the link above won't work for me. Any help appreciated.
