Will post up some piccies when I get it, but until then, here's one of my golf!

Meant to pick it up last wednesday, booked time off work to go and get it from Cheltenham (I live in Cornwall), Tuesday afternoon I get a call to say that the delivery company has had a few drivers off ill, so it wouldn't be there until Friday, worst case scenario would be Monday. Obviously this couldn't be helped, but I asked Martyn at the leasing company to keep me updated, which he hasn't bothered to do at all, so today (Sat) I ring Chelt VW and they say that the car arrived yesterday, but as the fleet guys are off now won't be ready until monday. I have to say the guys at VW have been really helpful, but it seems as if the leasing company couldn't care less now that they've got my money and a guaranteed sale, the guy's even ignoring my phone. Anyway Chelt VW have assured me it will be Monday, so expect some pics then! Just thought I'd share my experience of www.newcarleasingcompany.com with you!

IT'S HERE!!!

I'm in love.

Took these pics just after giving her a coat of Zymol. Let me know what you think!

Everything is almost perfect, my steering wheel is slightly wonky, and the day after I got it I got a warning light on to say the rear nearside reverse light wasn't working!

That looks very, very nice!

I sometimes wish I'd had the black but I know I would be compelled to put black wheels on for the true stealth bomber look. Oh and a little red led strip of moving lights in the front grill below the bonnet to fulfill my childhood nightrider fantasies!

Haha, definitely a cooler version of Kitt! Thanks for the comments, I personally wouldn't have actually gone for black but it was the only one which they had in stock and I needed it asap! Now I've got it I'm really pleased though, the metallic fleck in the paint is gorgeous, it's gold and blue. And thanks for the comments on my house! It's lovely being tucked away from prying eyes, it puts my mind at ease.

Meant to say, I did a 14 mile trip yesterday evening from cold, and I managed to get an average of 45.5mpg by driving like a saint! The temptation was there but I had to resist it! I also beat an 08 plate Porsche Boxster off the lights today, not sure whether it was just him getting a poor start or what but he was definitely going for it! That put a big smile on my face.

Has anyone got black wheels on their Scirocco? Or powder coated the interlagos? Wonder if it would look good with the black paint....
