Yes the shape of the knob and leather is different but the surrounding is the same so direct swap.
I see the facelift Scirocco has also this knob

Old one:

I got a great deal off a very nice man on the forum. The intake and a Forge BOV for under £200.00. Fitted it myself so even better :)

Sounds great... really throaty, you can hear an awesome whistle at high revs. Took her for a nice long run this arvo and the difference is so noticeable. Better throttle response and acceleration. Felt it pull harder in the higher gears than before. Had an issue with the EPC and engine management lights when I first fired her up. The EPC light went off once she'd warmed and the EML went off when i started her up this morning. All in all... Dead chuffed.

Do it mate. Nice and easy upgrade you can do yourself.
Still waiting to see what difference it makes to fuel consumption.

Basically post up what you've done to / with your Scirocco today, could be anything from gave it a wash, drove through the Lake District to sorted my insurance, had it lowered, etc

I'll start us off - I ordered a set of Winter tyres for mine today

Had my cold air intake installed a racingline performance into my 1.4tsi stage 1

Replaced the oil sensor from 1J0 907 660C to 1J0 907 660F, hopefully this is an improved version.
Can't find anything about this new type. Got rid of the oil sensor fault warnings finally.

Sorry for the filthy car, but it's been raining and freezing this days in Bucharest.
