Brake disc backing plate issues

Post by PWRoccoR »

Hi folks,

Had my Roc for nearly a year now and had not too many issues but over the last few days I've twice had a grinding noise form my front driver side wheel, sounds to be an issue with the backing plate. Anyone had any issues with this on the roc? Car was recently into VW for to replace the passenger side window switch and was jacked up for their VHC, Any chance this could have caused the problems I'm now getting?

Check for gravel caught between the disc or caliper and backing plate, I get this regularly with mine, worse than any other car I've owned.

As above, it is more than likely a trapped stone.

Cheers guys! Near needed a wipe for the drivers seat when it appeared at 60mph a few days Ago, that turned out to be a stone but this time there seems to be nothing. Will Get the wheel off tomorrow and see what I can find. Strange thats its decided to start now.
