20 quid? Is that the official VW ones? If so, can you tell us the part number? For VW not to fit a £20 part to finish off a £21000 car seems pretty cheap to me! I would'nt be so bothered to pay for them if they were £100, but for £20 then why not.
2013 - Tornado Red MK7 Golf GTD on order
2011-2013 - Rising Blue 170GT
2009-2011 - Pewter Roc 140GT
2007-2009 - Tornado Red Golf 170TDI GT
2005-2007 - Black Pearl Golf 140TDI GT
2003-2005 - Black Pearl Polo 1.9TDI
No they ain't VW parts..Its just a local company that makes pipes and pipe covers..Sure they wouldn't be worth 100, which I believe the official VW parts are around that much..

Non-GT Scirocco's do not come with chrome exhaust tail-pipes, so these make it look aesthetically better. I'm pretty sure it is to do with the non-GT spec anyway, I'm sure someone will correct me if that is wrong.
I have an 11 year old Passat with a stainless exhaust (the same one since new), better half has a Polo, also with a stainless exhaust. Why not on the Scirocco.
I doubt very much your passat and polo have stainless steel, most exhausts are made from mild. what he's talking about is covering the steel exhaust with polished stainless steel trims, not steel on steel

Well for one the tail pipes will have a internal rolled lip which looks neater than the plain pipe outlet and will be mirror finished to look shiny just like chromed steel without the corrosion problems in the winter.
I checked the Scirocco exhaust tonight with a magnet and it is indeed stainless but it would require an awfull lot of work to smooth out and mirror finish, too much trouble plus I could end up scratching the car so a pair of stainless tail pipes will be sourced and fitted.
