Having just done a deal on a replacement Scirocco I'm on the look-out for GAP insurance, who is favoured at the moment? VW's own is always v.v. expensive so I always look for alternatives.
p.s. I don't just look for the cheapest, I look for quality and value for money.
TIA

Thanks. I'd read that but was wondering if anyone had personal recommendations?rpsmith79 wrote:Worth a read

The point i was trying to make though, is do you even need it, and if so what type do you need
Just asking who is best won't help as it all depends what you want it for, if you even need it in the first place
It just seems to be one of those things companies try to sell you when it isn't even needed
Case in point, i recently bought a 2nd hand Civic Type-S and was paying by cash, they still insisted that i should take out GAP insurance.............. there was absolutely no need for me to take it out, but they insisted i did, it was only until i threatened to forget the deal and walk out they actually let me buy the car for cash
So IMO, in many many cases, it is just a money making scam, like payment protection, and not worth the paper is it written on

Yes, on this one I will need it and definitely RTI. I will not be getting it from the dealer, as I explained above.
