Best wax

Post by Stemartin99 »

Hi all,

As the title says can any one suggest a good wax for an Indium Grey Scirocco?

Thanks

have a look in the Detailing Section, can depend on the colour of your car and it's condition - see http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... m.php?f=31

Colour doesn't matter.

Soft99 / Fusso is quite good.

Depends what you want the wax for, adding a high shine or long lasting protection/water repellency, as these are generally at the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to wax

As above though, if you want long lasting/high water repellency then you can't go far wrong with either Collinite or Finnish Kare 1000P (though 1000P is technically a sealant, not a wax)

The prep before the wax will determine the best results - e.g. Tar and fallout removal, claying, polishing and glaze if the paint needs it - this will give you the shiny finish you want, the wax will protect it (and add a little bit to the finish, but it's minimal IMO)
