Dynaudio Pictures

Post by virago »

Hi,

Can anyone post any pictures of the dynaudio system installed front door and rear side panels? Inside of the panels also would be perfect..

The dynaudio website says that there is an amplifier on each of the speakers if I did not misunderstand. Is there an amplifier anywhere else like under the seat?

Thanks
Martyn

Aye there is a amp under the passenger seat.

As far as I know it is broken down into 8 channels for each speaker it is driving

I have had £4k+ systems in previous cars and I can honestly say the dynaudio system is worth the money. The only thing it could benefit from is a bit of sub-bass - but i'm sure i'll sort that soon.

Can you post some pictures?

I'll post the pictures of my solution for sub-bass anytime soon.. Maybe it can be a solution for you too :)

I've got my car in at the dealers tmoz for the 1k checkup and was going to ask about DynAudio upgrade after I selected the standard audio and how much it would be to do it all. I am of course presuming that all the wiring will be their in the first place.

I don't think this will be an easy upgrade and I don't think VW fit the wiring for the Dynaudio if the car isn't built with it.

Also, what's the 1k checkup?

True,
Dealer got confused and rang me... they thought I wanted a service but when I mentioned the 1k checkup they said they're was no need. I was under the impression there was a 1k checkup, but I may have been reading about something else.

Bad news about the DynAudio upgrade.... I would have thought with mass production of cars, things are placed in the shell but not necessarily enabled... ie car is fully wired but you can add the speakers / amp at a later stage. Looks like will have to do things the old fashioned way then and wire stuff up myself :hyper:

Cheers

If only, a vehicle i recently worked on had 12 variants of console harness alone depending upon the spec of the car and even more variants of cockpit harness (dashboard). This was not a VW though but most definately a mass produced vehicle.

Upgrading to dynaudio isnt too difficult. One buys the OEM amp that goes under teh seat and the wiring. No reason to reroute wires to the speakers etc cos the new wiring/harnesses route from radio to amp, amp back to radio, amp/radio to speakers. You should also upgrade the speakers as well obviously. check out www.vwnavi.com to see how to do it.
