Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Hi there,
Been away for a while! bought an house so very busy with that.
But I have finally my best update.
Vmaxx Coilovers
Before : ( 30 MM VMAXX springs)
After : ( Vmaxx Coilovers )
Before :
After :
You can see i have to adjust the front a bit but for the winter months on this wheels ill higher the back a bit
Summer setup will be 20"Rotors or Rotiform IND, then ill adjust it to the perfect height !
Very happy with the results!

Looks great! Any plans to complete the front with a R/R-line bumper?
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Yeah roc82! A cleaned Rline will come in the summer and maybe T5 grill in it!
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3

How does the r rear bumper fit? Is it a straight swap for the standard?

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
I hadnt realized the R spoiler was bigger than normal. Are the black window inserts different too?
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
@devin : yes its straight swap but if you have the R diffuser u need an other exhaust or you will need a R line diffuser then its a straight swap and easy job (search this forum for a HOW TO )
@deanno : yeas the diffrence is 3CM and a little model change and the black inserts are diffrent just a little gap (see my photo's )

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
does she sound any better with that exhaust by any chance?
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Heeya, yes if you just take straight pipe on a diesel its getting a bit louder not very loud! Just a nice sound id you want more sound you'll need to delete the DPF.

It will be basically silent with DPF delete and stock rear section.Kixxyz wrote:Heeya, yes if you just take straight pipe on a diesel its getting a bit louder not very loud! Just a nice sound id you want more sound you'll need to delete the DPF.

On stock turbo, full exhaust is very noisy at 2000rpm.
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Oh oke, i still got no big noise want some more but theu say i have to remove dpf for it.
But that is not true? Hope you can help me eith it, setup now; stock turbo (140ps), straight pipe and k&n panel filter) looking for air intake, dpf

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
DPF will hold a lot of noise. So remove OEM downpipe and put a 3inch pipe.
Basically DPF with aftermarket rear exhaust = pretty quiet
no DPF with stock rear exhaust = pretty quiet
Only way to get noise is full exhaust system.

Lovely project, looks perfect now with the coilovers!
Are the spoiler black trim pieces expensive to buy?

Pipe is pipe really.Devlin250 wrote:What's the best make or makes for the aftermarket exhausts?
Makes no difference if I'm being honest.

It's not the pipe your paying for it's the quality of the silencers/cat/welds/metal/skill used.xjay1337 wrote:Pipe is pipe really.Devlin250 wrote:What's the best make or makes for the aftermarket exhausts?

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Miltek, BCS, Scorpion, Longlife, EMP, all use basically the same material.
I would go to EMP or use a BCS system personally if I had loads of money.
I have a Darkside downpipe and Eurojet cat back section at the moment.
Miltek are certainly not the best from what I've seen, cat backs are OK, downpipes tend to snap at the flange.
But for noise, 3 inch pipe is 3 inch pipe. Only altering the tonal qualities due to certain types of silencers or valves.
I would have no issue having a Longlife exhaust , many people I know have them, they are half the price of Miltek and come with lifetime warranty.
My point is that pipe is pipe and assuming most large manufacturers have by and large, the same quality, none really offer anything special over any of the others.
