Spraying logo's and mirrors
Beginning of the project:
Vmaxx -30mm springs
Lowered 30mm
Xenon and orange bulbs
R style kickplates (short ones, future gonna be oem long one's!)
R taillights
Taillights + Yeti tailpipes + Platsidipped diffuser black
GTD steering clip (now a days it's piano black )
Piano black interior strips & surroundings + facelift gearknob!
Color coded lower grill + black out the fog lights (wanna de-fog sometime)
Spotted my 1st car
Crappy pic but makinng progress!
Fitting the skirts with special glue for it
R skirts!
Bought some cheap BBS cx-r 19" 8,5 J all around
Fixed them! fresh OEM caps and added some tires!
BBS CX-r
Fitment
Now i can respray the interlagos!
Add some color, can't see it very well but sprayed them very dark grey
Because it's the winter set i sprayed the insides matt black(cant see it from the outside but very effective with cleaning!!
Red calipers.
Bought R bumper with some damage and an OEM R rear spoiler !
Sold the BBS wheels with 450euro profit so that money i use to spray the stuff! (didnt like the weheels very much so use them for the profit!)
They fixed the damage and sprayed it very nice!
Let's see the difference!
Now we gonna fot it (finally bought the rocco do this some day love the R style back!!)
The black window thing for the spoiler that you need! for the difference...
Very happy with the result!
What we now need is an nice exhaust!
Bought 90mm Ulter sport exhaust pipes and went for a custom made straight RVS pipe!
Results <3
Because it's a diesel no loudy noises just adds some GRRRRR! in love with it!
Went with it to Luxemburg! what a road to drive! love the roads there.. think i need some new rubber xD
Added R line wing fender badges and an R line front grill badge ( waited for it a long time )
And.. give it a good clean and wax after the holiday!
So a brain fart let me do this.. 3SDM 0.01 9,5j ALL over with Dunlop sportmaxx 235-35-19 so perfect fitment and some little stretch
Wheels have some damage but let it fix soon as i did to the BBS! very happy how they look!
Autobahn
So got some stone chips on my lower grill and i want to sand them more so it looks nicer.. (also sprayed the outer sides now!
How it look + tinted the blinkers a bit to fit the rest.. (with my mates R32 )
So hope some updates soon still got wishlist!

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
How did you take the vw badge off and spray ? I have a indium grey scirocco and I think black badges may go decent but not sure
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Nice progress mate!
How heavy are the 3sdm's? How do they feel at a sporty driving?
I have always admired the looks, but couldn't find any info of the build (gravity casting/Low pressure casting/Flow formed cast ?).
The guys at 3sdm's couldn't be bothered, sent them repeated emails but the only response was silence.
Cheers

to pjayy : you can take of the logo's because they are clocked on a vw logo's thats underneath the outer logo... so just pull a little bit maybe use a plastic trim
to roc82: they are not very lightweight wheels the bbs that i had were lightweight sportwheels they had nice handling, and because i drive on 9,5j 3sdm i have streched tires also not providing the sporty drive.. maybe 8,5j front with good tires will be much better but if u look for sporty driving wheels i prefer the BBS or OZ but thats my opinion.

Thanks mate . That was something I was afraid of, so I'm guessing that I will go for something different.Kixxyz wrote:to pjayy : you can take of the logo's because they are clocked on a vw logo's thats underneath the outer logo... so just pull a little bit maybe use a plastic trim

My current '17 oz (which have been amazing so far) will remain for winter use.
To bad oz doesn't build the superturismo lm's in 18x8.5, it would have been my favorite choice.

the superturismo are awesome maybe take them 19":D
otherwise ultraleggera or bbs motorsports
ill hear from you and want to see some pics
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
I wish I could take them in '19 , but the roads I usually drive are really bad.
18 will be more than enough, and only take into consideration a 8.5j rim with 245 width tires.
If oz doesn't release by spring the superturismo lm's in 18x8.5 (one can hope), I will most probably go for Alutec Pearl:

how hard is it to take the badge of and what do i need to refit ?
and any specific instructions on how to spray the badge black ?
i found the badges on amazon but i don't want to pay £30 for one badge.
i just found a picture with indium grey and a black badge and it looks nice

Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
What ET are the bbs rims? I'm going for the 3sdm 0.01 rims on my car 8.5Jx19 ET32. So scared to run the 9.5Jx19 ET 40, cause some say that they rub? But think the 8.5J with ET 32 should look pretty ok.. The car is lowerd on H&R springs (30/35mm)
Re: Silver Rocco 2.0 TDI build <3
Jo scirocco kid,
The bbs where 8,5 all around, the 3sdm where 9,5 all around lowered 30mm
The 9,5 et 40 fitted perfectley! Never rubbed but if ur scared for wheel curbs you should go for 8,5 and you always can use spacers fpr the perfect fit!
