Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
In Poland VW is actually contracting 6 moths delivery with a buyer, however cars normally arrive within 3-4 moths

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Ordered on the 12th of May (week 20), estimated build week 34.
And the wait continues...
Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Ordered 10 April '09 (week 15)...build in week 25, delivery week 28
Before ordering they said estimated build/delivery is 6 months...I ordered it anyway...after ordering they confirmed the proper build date...
I guess they had more interest to sell the Golf VI's (they had in stock), instead of selling the Scirocco...

Could be.. Otherwise you just have a high level of demand compared to sweden and got a better place in the production que..Jimmyb wrote:Ordered 10 April '09 (week 15)...build in week 25, delivery week 28

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Was originally told mine was build week 23; rang up today to get an update on progress and have been told that it's now been put back to week 26.
Not the greatest news, but I suppose it pretty much guarantees I'll be getting a 2010 spec car.

Kenny: For mid August, i'd postpone 2 weeks and get it on a new plate if you're in the UK. If you're not then it won't matter.

Ordered my Gt Tdi end of May, Told it should be in just before sept, but said I'd wait til sept 1st to get it on 59 plate. Far too excited to wait, and the previous posts are making me nervous, I don't wanna wait even longer!!!

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Ordered 30th May 2009
12th June VW confirmed build as Wk 28 (6th - 12th July)
10th July, Factory shuts for 3 weeks
If car gets out of the factory gates before the 10th, it will be in the UK Wk 30 (20th - 26th July)
If not it will be in the UK Wk 33 (10th - 16th Aug) in which case I'll probably wait till Sept for the new plate!
Blimey this is frustrating!!!

Seems a liitle crazy that a company can quote a build week when nobody is actually there!Ian wrote:I have been given a build week of week 29 which is the first week of the shutdown !Spiney wrote:10th July, Factory shuts for 3 weeks

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
My dealer informed me that the factory is staggering its workforces holiday throughout the month to prevent a full closure this year. My build date is also mid July.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Mine's a company car.
I submitted the order to leasing company 12th May, I had a call from the dealer to confirm spec on the 14th May, and order confirmation from leasing company on 19th May, so not exactly sure what the "order date" would be in terms of when placed on VW's ordering system.
Let's say it was approximately Week 21. I was given an estimated delivery date of 3rd August.
I had a call from the dealer yesterday (Week 24) saying scheduled for Build week 28.
Dealer says to reckon on 4 week delivery, so 3rd August (Week 32) seems so far like an accurate prediction of delivery.
So for me it seems as though it's an 11 week wait from order to delivery.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
HI,
Ordered mine on the 15 Apr, was told delivery end of June. Lease company gave me a build week of 22.
Received email yesterday stating its being build now, week 24 - so he thinks it may slip in to July by two weeks - two weeks I don't need!! lol
Cheers
Steve

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Went to the dealer today to get my car valued and to organise the premium sill protectors and paint protection. Only booked appointment a week ago so imagine my surprise/disgust when they tell me he's on a course today. VW service continues to amaze, only not in a good way. At least they were able to tell me the car has been built and I should have it in the first or second week of July. 11 weeks down, 2 or 3 to go.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Indeed. I called today to add parking sensors to my order. So the sales person (not the one that sold me the car) asked me, "front and back, right?" "Or do you want the vision system?" I had to tell him, the roc only has 1 type of parking sensors. What ever happened to "know what you sell"?ik1978 wrote: VW service continues to amaze
