I know what you mean about the excess wires but I coiled it all up and tucked it neatly in there - I can understand why you'd want it OEM though! That's how I have it on my R and I have got used to the fact that there isn't a gap under there anymore.

I bet you say that turbo and it almost teases you, as you know how quick it will be when it's installed haha

I just like things to be done properly :P nothing against people putting it behind the climate control unit as there is space, but i figured it was designed to go under the seat so thats where i would put it :P

haha tell me about it... and 4wd so power gets down :) it was always a long term project, I have all the parts just held back by engine management :( if I had an actual R I could have done it already... Gutted! I prefer the EA888 engine though

Got my new RNS 510 today, latest model with DAB! Woo. Just fitted and tested all looks good, waiting for my dab amplifier to arrive tomorrow, hopefully once that comes it should be a straight swap and away I go with DAB :)

Ignore the funny screen quality, it had the screen protector on it still!

Does anyone know what genuine amplifier I need to make my DAB work? I bought one off ebay but the connection is wrong and I cannot plug it into the arial under my rear window.

I tried the one they supplied with the radio which is an aftermarket one, it gets radio but no dab signal. I want to get the proper amplifier and not have something stuck to my rear window anyway

Cheers mate,

I've decided to keep the car and finish it, so there will be more updates in the future, just put time and effort into my business since the new year :vibes:

Haha, just a mk7 Golf 2.0 diesel  It's nice enough as an everyday run around. Just done a lease deal on it so it so I can free up some cash to invest into the business, once I get a good return on it I will get another decent car, be it another Scirocco or something else :)

Wow! Love what you done with the Scirocco mate! How much did the Exterior and Interior parts cost roughly? Looking at buying a 1.4 for my first car and hoping to do a R - Facelift conversion just like yours

Interior to be honest I can't remember. Rought:

Steering Wheel - £250
Pedals - £80
Heater panel - £50
Gloss black trims £250
R dash trims - £60
Matts - £50
Gear Stick - £100
Dials £300
Coding for dials £100
Vagcom to programme steering wheel - £290
DAB Headunit - £700
Bluetooth unit + wiring £160

I think that's about it so around £2390
