Interior Silver trims wrapped!
So I started wrapping my silver interior dash trims/ door card inserts the other night and here are the results!
Wrapped in Black Brushed Aluminium! Just the door card inserts left to do and I'll attempt to do the vent surrounds but this vinyl doesn't like corners! [emoji23]
Opinions welcome [emoji102]

Thats not a bad effort, looks nice, but if your vinyl doesn't like corners i fear you may struggle with the door inserts, they are a real bugger

I'm going to use primer on them. I wrap cars for a job so I'll figure it out

Interesting! I'm planning on doing this too!
Which film did you use? Can you take some photos in daylight?

Yeah, i realised after i posted that it was you who did the wrapping for a living, lolbradley_nix0n wrote:I'm going to use primer on them. I wrap cars for a job so I'll figure it out

What wrap do you use out of interest, when i was doing it a few years ago i would only use Hexis, but it was either that or 3M at the time, but as i mostly did interior work, i found 3M to be too thick, i only stopped because eBay got flooded with cheap wrap and everyone ended up having a go themselves on the cheap and wouldn't pay me a decent price to use quality materials

Interior Silver trims wrapped!
Haha no worries dude! & ive only used Hexis once, it was a full wrap in their Gold Metallichrome & the experience is one I'd like to forget! Haha! Wasn't a fan of it at all if I'm honest. This black brushed aluminium I've used is 3M but I mainly use either Avery or 3M mate.rpsmith79 wrote:Yeah, i realised after i posted that it was you who did the wrapping for a living, lolbradley_nix0n wrote:I'm going to use primer on them. Yeah, 3M is really nice, very thick, just not ideal for interiors IMObradley_nix0n wrote:Haha no worries dude! & ive only used Hexis once, it was a full wrap in their Gold Metallichrome & the experience is one I'd like to forget! I've never tried Avery, so might give that a go as i want to do the rear diffuser on my Rocco in black, just not sure whether to give it a go myself or just pay someone to do it as it's got quite a sharp lip to it so not sure how easy it would be to do myself

I'll be doing mine soon enough so I can always take a picture and post it up mate! Avery is the best material imo.rpsmith79 wrote:Yeah, 3M is really nice, very thick, just not ideal for interiors IMObradley_nix0n wrote:Haha no worries dude! & ive only used Hexis once, it was a full wrap in their Gold Metallichrome & the experience is one I'd like to forget! Re: Interior Silver trims wrapped!
UPDATE- This morning I finished off the door cards trims. Not going to do the vent surrounds in this brushed aluminium but gloss black instead! But here are the door cards!
Next up, gloss black door strips! I've primed them all first because vinyl doesn't stick to the textured plastic & I don't want to be able to see the texture through the vinyl!
Thanks for looking!

Re: Interior Silver trims wrapped!
That looks spot on mate
I am looking to re-wrap my bonnet. Would you recommend Avery for exterior too (i think its the 777 Series)? or 3M? Also where is the best place to buy these vinyl? The current wrap is grey and I am thinking of maybe changing the colour to Anthracite to match the wheels, or carbon fibre to match with the spoiler and mirrors (but it might be abit OTT )
Thanks!
Tommy
