Maybe you can try to take of the battery for a minute and then reconnect.

Re: Boot Light not working
I tried disconnecting the battery no luck, also changed the bulb with no joy. Does anyone think it could be the micro switch on the boot latch?
Hope someone can advise.

Does the "boot open" graphic appear on the MFD when the boot is opened? If so, it's not the microswitch.R of Rock wrote:I tried disconnecting the battery no luck, also changed the bulb with no joy. Does anyone think it could be the micro switch on the boot latch?

Re: Boot Light not working
Checked the fuse? Checked the fuse list above but couldn't see which it is sorry.
Got 12V at the socket with the boot open? Those carousel bulb holders often go loose so try bending the contacts together so they grip the ends of the blub better.

Re: Boot Light not working
Thanks to those who replied trying to help out, the graphic does appear on the MFD but I had been told it could still be the micro switch. I don't think it is a blown fuse because the interior lights work & I believe they run off the same fuse. I thought the bulb may have come loose but that was not the case. Also I had heard that the rear washer can leak water onto the boot latch connectors but that's dry.
Once I get the problem sorted I will let you know, but if anyone has anymore ideas please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Boot Light not working
Hi there just a quick update, finally got the boot light working. After trying everything I decided to take a chance and buy a new boot latch, boot light is working now. My MFD was displaying the boot was open when I opened the tailgate so it shows it still can be faulty. Thanks to everyone who replied for their help.
