Re: Got mine - Some pics now added!
thanks for the pictures mate I sorted out the mats to get the scirocco written on them you get them from the dealer the factory ones are plain black you would think it would be the other way about vw customer services confirmed this. I tried to get the dealer to swap but as usual they have got my money so if I want them that that will be another 80 quid so I told them the sun doesn't shine where you can put that idea
Re: Got mine - Some pics now added!
think dealers are smug because scirocco is popular so take it or leave it somes to be their approach, they no they can resell cars so people can avoid the wait

Thanks for the extra sill pictures!
Do you know how they fasten on? Is it something I could do myself?

Re: Got mine - Some pics now added!
they stick on, just need to make sure the paint is clean and dry before you put them on

Re: Got mine - Some pics now added!
Rain finally stopped for a few hours and I managed to take some close ups with a better camera...
DAB Ariel
Night time shot of puddle light (better camera)
Mirrors Folded
Passenger Sill
Sill close up (better camera)
Driver Sill
Changed my road tax disc holder
More pics can be see on the set, and the ones taken today have bigger sizes available.

LMAO I used the exact same seller on ebay!iambu wrote:Just one example of where one can be bought.
I bought mine before the car arrived, had doubts but today ripped off the dealers sticker and applied it!
These new pics were for detail on certain parts (folded mirrors, sills etc) I think by this time everyone has seen decent quality pics of the Scirocco.Andy-GTI wrote:3 pics of a tax disc holder. . . .
I was suprised to see that the DAB ariel is different when I first got it.
To sum up the stares, I get a lot from A3, 3 series, Clio, Astra/Corsa drivers but the ones that top the list are Golf drivers! - most others take a subtle second look.
Filling up is a bit of a nightmare; everyone just stares, oblivious to the fuel spilling out their cars.

Filled up only once too, I was down to the last line before red so I had to fill up during lunch hour and it was bad.

34.2 I think at the moment but only done 170 odd miles lol. Main running in miles next week on cross England marathon.
Managed to have a blast this afternoon down a twisty Cornish country road and had a play with the DSG paddles - lots of fun.

I've done close to 380 (250 of which was the drive back up the M6), yeah I hit a few country roads myself today, was fun to drive, I let the ACC sit in Sport - felt really solid and stuck to the road.
My older 4x4 loving bro took it for a spin, he thought both -+ were on the same paddle, much to my horror when he took it down to 1st gear whilst doing 40, could have strangled him - car and owner survived - I would have done an angry smilie but there isn't one.

Re: Got mine - Some pics now added! - MORE PICS!!
my aerial query is answered back to old school bee sting, i went for a spin last night for an hour (to avoid detection) on a nice mix of A and B roads, car is effortless, new engine feels more torquier than my old a3 (pick up in 4th from 20mph etc), standard lights were impressive compared to what i have experienced before, have tended to leave it in sport, however, in sport you certainly notice the throttle response is sharper when driving around town

Thanks and your welcome, the cloth is decent especially the detail on the stitching.
Sills are worth it mate, they add that something extra to it.
Check out my other topic, I changed the badge today with the GT one, small thing like that adds so much more too.

Ya, it doesn't really go with the lines of the car. Would it be possible to change the ariel?rehmondo wrote:I was suprised to see that the DAB ariel is different when I first got it.
