Bluetooth fitting

Post by Tompea13 »

Hello,

This is my first post on here as I can't seem to find my answers online so if someone know where I can find the Info please send a link!

I've just recently purchased a 2.0 tdi GT 2009 scirocco. I have the rcd510 with a red mfd, Bluetooth module is not under the seat so I assume I haven't got Bluetooth. The phone button on the steering wheel just mutes the radio.

I'd like a guide on how to install the Bluetooth module with step by step if possible!

I have purchased the following -

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Tom

I fitted one and played it by ear the Bluetooth module is supposed to go under the seat I shoved mine above the glovebox as I couldn't be arsed with guiding the wiring.

The mic will need to be inserted in the dome light unit which drops down with a few screws then the rest is guiding the wiring.

You may also have to use VCDS to get certain functions working.

The 2008/2009 scirocco shares a lot of its dash from the Mk5 golf so look up guides for MK5 golfs if you cant find one for a scirocco.

Here you go mate. I have installed 5 of these now - best place for the module is behind the climate control as someone once told me "its like "f**king Narnia back there!"

Honestly though its fairly straight forward through the majority of the install, the tough part is the mic which again is fairly straight forward, its just not nice having to pull the pillar out to feed the wire up.

Any trouble - give me a shout!

Am I missing a part here? Should there be a part on the end of the brown, red and orange cable in picture two?

Hi fitted today, works perfectly didn't have to code it or anything just plug and play!! Make sure you get the correct wiring harness though as the link I originally posted didn't have the right wiring!!

Cheers for the help, finally got the right cable from China today, worked perfectly followed the guide, roughly... I skipped the interior mirror light and managed to stuff it at the top of the windscreen!
