Problem with Audio!

Hi,

I've got an odd intermittent problem with the Audio system. When playing tracks it sounds like the tweeter on the passenger side sometimes cuts out for a bit then comes back in again....there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it but it happens most of the time. It's quite a subtle change but im definitely losing high frequencies occasionally from, doesn't seem like it's the speaker...maybe the crossover unit?
Has anyone had any similar experience.

Oh it's a 2.0 TSI "13" reg

had this problem with the drivers side. When i turned the volume up and then down, the tweeter worked. Changed tweeters all round in the end and havn't had the problem since

I was afraid I might have to do that....is it something you can do yourself or will it have to go into a dealers? How much are new tweeters?
