How much does a stage 1 remap add to insurance for an R?

Post by Legend69 »

Hey all, I'm looking at getting a Rocco R in the near future, and if I do I'll probably get a stage 1 remap. I was just wondering how much this normally adds to the insurance costs, I've never tuned any of my previous cars before so it's all new to me. I'm 25 in August and have 6 years NCB.

Thanks any help you can give.

Do a quote comparison?

Completely different for everyone, my insurers (Admiral) flat out refuse to insure me with a stage 1 remap (+20% or more bhp in insurance terms), so I'd have to change insurers. Yet exhaust systems, induction kits and exterior changes are absolutely fine and add no more than £100.
