How to get the best from Candy White?
Now i'm no stranger to detailing, i am however a stranger to White paint, having never owned a white car in the past i would like to know what products to use to get the best shine and water protection possible
My limited knowledge of white paint is that you can't really get it to shine as such, is this correct, and am i wasting my time getting the machine polisher out
Having only picked the car up this weekend, i spent most if it driving round, but did get an hour or so to get started, and the back bumper was the worst, so far i clayed it as it is covered in tar spots, gave it a quick hand polish with some Megs Dual Action Cleaner Polish, then gave it 2 coats of FinishKare Hi-Temp Sealant, for a quick going over it turned out alright, but before i start attacking the rest of the car, is there anything else i should consider

Defo give it ago mate you can get some really nice finishes from the candy, I'm in the process of going out with the DA on mine but that's only because swirls etc bother my ocd , and I'm forever trying different products to improve the finish, at the moment other than the usual wash , Decon , clay etc the most recent product I'm using and currently love is a glaze from KKD called regloss, just from this one product alone you get cracking reflections and it's really easy to work with , and then layer it with a good coat of wax, I prefer using show waxes to get the finish, you loose out on durability normally but I'm more than happy to keep applying it so doesn't bother me , I think on the candy the deep reflections and that almost wet looks makes them look pretty tidy, there's plenty of us on here with candys so have a browse

Cheers Ash, will deffo give it a go with the polishing machine when i get a day free
I do like a good shine, but as i do a 20 mile commute everyday, i tend to prefer the harder wearing sealants over waxes, and unfortunately all my other waxes from my show days are for darker coloured cars

No worries , I'm the same mate I do an easy 15-20 mile drive to work , hate taking the roco out everyday ,
Iv just bought the r222 concours wax however they do have there 100% carnuba as well for durability
No matter what you use layer it up is what I say to help get that deep wet look, my cousin just went from a black s3 to a white a5 and currently hates it as he doesn't think it looks as good as black , after seeing mine shine though he's starting to change his mind, like you said about your previous gear, certain products work best on certain colours
Good luck and post some pics

Give fireball Korea products a go, they seemed be getting rave reviews. On mine I've used gtechiq c2v3 & dodo juice super natural hybrid(last summer) since then it's only had power maxed qd & madcow ultra violet on it.
Maybe looking into these glass, ceramic & Nani coats or your durability then top with show wax when you want the extra shine?

Any ideas where to get this Fireball stuff from, looked at a few reviews on Detailing World and it looks nice, but struggling to find anyone who actually supplies it

This looks like the sort of thing i would like, as that is my usual washing routine, i wash, rinse, than apply Quick Detailer to the wet car and dry, so that stuff above would be perfect for me.............. i just can't seem to find it for sale anywhere

Re: How to get the best from Candy White?
Well here we go, here are the first few photos, so far only really washed it, so not much in the way of sparkle just yet

Not easy photographing a white car, but you can just about make out the dull reflections on the front bumper
I have made a start on the claying and polishing, but i'm doing it one panel at a time, and i've started from the back, as that is the view most people will see.................. when i go flying past them, lol
