My led number plate lights failed after approximately 1,000 hours (estimated), their website suggests a 50,000 hour life! The resistor block starting leaking a foul smelling tar like substance which i'm assuming is related to them failing. Admittedly i've had the lights for more than 12 months but they have failed significantly sooner than what they are advertised as being able to last for.
I contacted HID Direct about it and in a nutshell they weren't remotely interested, shocking customer service i have to say.
Reason for the post is steer clear of these/them as the substance that has leaked has melted my bumper and now needs a smart repair!
