Key fob issues, help!

Hey guys,

I was at the shopping centre today, came back to my car (09 plate VW Scirocco 2.0 GT) and the key fob wouldnt unlock the car so used the manual override under the handle, swapped the battery when I get home....still didn't work

I got out the spare key and this is also doesnt work? So I now have two key fobs that dont appear to be working but seems abit of a coincidence, so I'm thinking something else is wrong here, any ideas?

Have the car scanned for faults first.

Have you tried the reset procedure?

- Remove driver's door handle keylock cover.
- Press unlock on the fob.
- Within one minute, insert the key into the driver's door handle lock and unlock
