Thanks mate, I think black wheels suit Rising blue far better then silver! especially with black mirrors/rear diffuserJD_08URY wrote:This thread has threw a spanner in works for me. Re: My Scirocco Project
Does anyone have any idea what my car would be worth if I was to sell it? Its all genuine R parts apart from the sideskirts... All top of the range performance parts, mainly VW Racing.
Just trying to get an idea

My Scirocco Project
Might sound a bit harsh. Someone on here might be willing to pay a tad over the odds but really just look at the book price for a 2008 GT. Don't think you'd get anything extra from a dealer no matter how good it looks

Re: My Scirocco Project
Not harsh at all, I fully understand you don't get the price back for modding a car, I never built it to make a profit I have no interest in selling to a dealer Will be a private sale towards the summer with no rush/need to sell. Just no idea what its actually worth really! /may remove some mods and sell seperately, but I'm sure someone wanting a high spec scirocco will be willing to part with the cashthecrofter wrote:Might sound a bit harsh. Re: My Scirocco Project
Finally got round to doing some more bits on the car.
Ordered a new DAB RNS 510 headunit that should come tomorrow, and a DAB amplifier, so hopefully that will be plug and play.
I also got a bluetooth module as my car had no bluetooth, installed that tonight, what a ball ache!! installed it properly microphone in the roof centre, and module under the drivers seat
More to come over the next couple of weeks

under the drivers seat?! Have you not seen how much room there is behind the climate control! Someone once told me "it's like Narnia back there."
Good job though - any wiggle on the K04?

Re: My Scirocco Project
I saw people installing behind there but then there would have been so much excess wire, and i was worried it would rattle. The OEM fitment is under the drivers seat as they have a foam holder that sticks to the carpet so I got that, and the carpet already had cut outs for the wiring I like things OEM Was worth the hassle of routing the wires IMO.philjay92 wrote:under the drivers seat?! K04 no luck, only want to do it if a full kit comes up second hand, if not I will continue to wait for Syvecs to release their TSI standalone ecu and fit my GT3076R turbo
Got lots more to fit still over the next couple of weeks:
VW Racing engine mounts (only fitted 1 so far)
Front anti roll bar
Powerflex Anti lift kit
Forged internals
I'm sure I have missed stuff, this has all been sat in boxes for months! Need to get it on the car. Also moving house next weekend! So going to be a busy couple of weeks
