Bluetooth Handsfree

Post by BlackRoc »

Im after a cheap (£40-£50) bluetooth handsfree unit for my car. Has anyone got one that works very well that they can recommend? I have a Nokia phone if that makes any difference.

I had a Fiscon system fitted by Brisn at sales@carfi.co.uk. Its not cheap but taps into the touch screen, mfd (dial, phon book etc) and works with the steering wheel controls. As a bonus it reads the CANBUS to give you a display of: Speed, Oil temp, Water temp, boost pressure, voltage and rpm on the mfd.

Like I say its not cheap, but I could not cope with a 'phone' button that does not work! Other down side is a visible mic (but most kits suffer that).

Tried it with Nokia (company phone so well old), Sony Erricson (the Mrs), Blackberry (work) and iPhone (mine), no problems at all, even had more that one connected and working at once (some how).

I've had loads of handsfree units over the years and the only ones that have been useable up to motorway speeds have been the Nokia fully integrated kits and the Skoda unit which is now integrated with the RNS510. In my van I just use a plantronics bluetooth headset which is great. One of my workmates has one of those Nokia units which clips onto the sun visor and it's surprisingly good.... Heres a link
