My Facelift Viper Green Scirocco

Post by mavrk »

Hey guys,

Been on the forum for a while now just browsing and seeing what people get up to with their cars so I decided its time to show you mine and get your opinions! So I got my car on March 1st (fresh.. I know :hyper: ) and have only modified something this week.. I got new wheels as I had admittedly become boring of the ones that come on it however they did look good (in my opinion). I got the Wolfrace Genesis Wheels in 20" however I would have liked to get some higher-end wheels but because of my Apprenticeship wage, I wasnt able to.

Let me know what you guys think of my car! I am looking to get it lowered, whether it be Airlift/Airride or whatever you guys call it or just lowering springs.. I need to do some research but thought maybe your input would be more accurate and useful! If you want me to post some more pictures of it please let me know but for now I have attached just the one.

There are more pictures on my insta: mavrkstagram

Thanks!

Liam

Thanks man! I'm glad you like the wheels, I've had some mixed reviews from my friends but i like them! Do you think I should get coilovers, lowering springs or air lift? I was thinking maybe just springs for now... as air lift is fairly expensive so would have to wait to get it.

I like the wheels but they are replica Audi wheels, why not just buy Audi oem as they will be lighter and probably better quality.

As for lowering, I'd go with springs for now until you're sure what route you're going to take. I run coilovers on my TT RS, whilst they are both comfortable and very tunable, they cost a fortune, unless you really need the performance of coilovers I'd stay clear and buy an MSS kit, that way you'll have almost oem comfort but with the ride height adjustment you'd get with coilovers.

Thanks! They are similar to the Audi wheels however have a slit in the spoke which differs them slightly however yes Audi oem would definitely be better quality! I am looking to change my wheels again at some point anyway.

I think I'm going to go with springs too... For some reason, coilovers dont really appeal to me so I am kind of torn between springs and air lift but yeah - springs it is! I just need to find the right ones for my car as there are so many options and I would like to avoid the hassle of buying the wrong ones and having to send them back etc. Thanks for the information though! I appreciate it.

Wheels look great ! I went for the Eibach Pro-kit, drops the car by about 20mm at back -25mm at front , so still goes over speed bumps but you have to watch it when parking front in to kerbs as it close ! Ride is much better than standard but not to extreme. Springs direct from Germany were £140 dhl'd to your door within 3 days, then I paid £130 to have them fitted and tracked . It did need tracking as the geometry did change

I went for the H&Rs as they drop around 30-35mm which is perfect IMHO and I fitted them myself using UK LEEs guide as and it was pretty easy.

Looks very nice! Looks lover than 20 & 25mm though in my opinion, might just be me lol! I'm still looking for the correct lowering springs for my car as I have the 1.4 tsi [125]. I can only find ones for the 2 litre models :?

Thanks man! I was close to winning the Yiannimize wrap competition for this year (I was 1/5 finalists) but didn't win either prize :( I was looking forward to changing up the green! Looks like it's here to stay though but I do love it nevertheless. Also, Volkswagen aren't providing Viper Green as a colour on any of the Scirocco's now on the online configuration so I am glad I got in there before they stopped it!
