iPod Connection

Does anyone know if the ipod connection will work with my iphone??

It will work as an ipod but its not iphone compatible ie you can control anything other than the ipod function

Thanks for that. It was only the ipod element running through the stereo that I was concerned about, and you've answered that for me.

Can anyone confirm if the iPod connection allows:

a) you to skip tracks with the steering wheel buttons

and

b) charges an iphone 3g

I'd really appreciate an answer to this as thus far two inept VW dealers have not been able to tell me

Yes, providing audio is showing on the multi-function display.

Don't know the answer to the iphone question.

i have a 3rd generation 15gb ipod, (the one with fully tactile controls and orange lighs for menu, pause...)
will it work in my scirocco? i dont think it will charge because these ipods used firewire instead of usb. but i dont know if i will be able to control it on the radio or wheel
