Money burning a hole

Post by Nosvartu »

Afternoon everyone!

As the title says, i have some extra money this year since I've been fortunate to get a Christmas bonus, and i want to spend it on the car "Crazy i know" Just wondering what upgrades you'd all suggest.

I've got a slightly creaky clutch when its cold. Had this since I've owned the car and its been though two MOT's and not caused a problem / cost me a fortune.
As it stands its a 2009 2.0 TSI in Rising Blue, it has a BCS exhaust and... that's it. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have around £1500 to spend.

Thanks Mike.

Is it the 200 bhp?

Get a proper FMIC, decat, larger turbo pipes, proper induction kit (not a crappy cone filter) then take it for a remap. You should squeeze all that in with £1500.

If you have a clutch on its way out any power increases will kill it.

Looks like a remap is the way forward, looked into the Revo one before, as they say if you go stage one, and then later decide to go stage 2 you just pay the difference? not sure if anyone here has had one and recommends it.

Like i said, the clutch has been like that since i have had the car, had couple of people look at it and its not been an issue. i have done around 25k in the car since i have owned it and its been sound, other that the squeak on a cold day. Anyone know the rough costing for a clutch replacement?
