Tyre Pressure??? 18"

Post by Robbie73 »

So had my Roc since the 1st March and done 3000 miles, off to Surrey on Friday so thought
I'd check them. Petrol cap sticker says 33psi (unloaded) so I thought I'd go with 34psi they
were all at 36psi??? Now they must of lost 1 or 2 psi since 1st March so did they start off at 37/38psi?

What do you guys have yours at?

(Sorry if this has been done to death already)

Cheers
Rob

Checked mine at the weekend, done about 450 miles since new and they were all at 35 psi, decided to leave them at that.

A reminder, just in case...

Tires must be cold when You check tire-pressure.

Yeah, I noticed at the first pressure check about 2 weeks after delivery, the car had about 42psi on each tyre!
I put them back to whatever is recommended for 4 people plus luggage (36 front 33 back or similar from memory).
I've noticed two things:-
- ride is noticebly more comfortable
- mpg is noticeably lower on the same journeys (around 2-3mpg).

All pressures checked when cold (stationary overnight)
